working principle

At the core of the thermal flow switch is a temperature sensor. When fluid flows through the switch, a heat exchange occurs, transferring heat from the sensor to the flowing fluid. In the absence of flow, the heat remains in the sensor, causing its temperature to rise. The thermal switch continuously monitors this temperature difference, allowing it to determine whether fluid is passing through.

When fluid flow is detected, the switch activates an integrated relay that can trigger alarms, control systems, or shut down operations if necessary. This principle not only enhances safety but also protects vital machinery from damage due to lack of coolant or lubricant.
